YogaflowZ offers Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic yoga style where yoga poses are linked together making the movement flow. Proper breathing is a key element of performing the sequences effectively. Slow lounge music is played throughout the practise to add to the atmosphere of the lesson. The main purpose of vinyasa is moving with ease in line with the breath, but the poses are sometimes challenging and make the body work hard while they strengthen and stretch the muscles. Therefore the classes provide a full body workout in combination with relaxing the mind and body to reduce stress.
Why Flow? Isn’t it difficult to follow?
Because it is good to be in a flow! By linking the asanas together our practice becomes like a dance where the movement is backed by slow lounge music. It is the inhale and the exhale leading the yoga practitioner moving from one asana to another. This way the classes are highly relaxing and strong at the same time. Full instruction is given on doing each of the poses in the class, therefore the sequences can be easily followed by beginners and more experienced yogis alike.
What can yoga provide to me?
Would you like someone to hold a mirror up to you which reflects your whole life so that you can see it from the outside? Step on the mat and you can get much closer to yourself than ever before! Our practice reflects exactly the way we live our lives and vice versa: practising yoga has a strong influence on the quality of the life we are living. In addition to this, please find 10 benefits of yoga below.
am I flexible enough to do yoga?
I keep hearing this misconception a lot that 'yoga is not for me because I am not flexible enough'. I am also often faced by the other common prejudice that ‘yoga is women’s sport’. My opinion is that yoga is for everyone regardless of gender, age or flexibility. If you feel you are not flexible enough than yoga is exactly what you need. Since breathing is the most important aspect, everybody who can breathe, is able to do yoga.
CAN EVERYONE LEARN HOW TO MEDITATE?
If you think you will never be able to sit still, than it is exactly meditation what you need. Everybody is capable of sitting still if they want to. Besides strengthening and stretching the body, yoga practitioners have the opportunity to relax and release stress. They are learning relaxation techniques and yoga breathing to practice at home so they gain the ability to use these new calming and distressing tools in many situations of their daily lives.
How strong are the classes?
The classes are strong and relaxing at the same time. We are strengthening the core muscles and stretching the body. In my beginner classes we are practising basic poses that can be done easily by everyone. A few months practice is necessary to participate in the more advanced classes. I always let my students develop in their own rhythm but motivate them at the same time to continuously extend their own limits.
